Where Do I Start? Tips on Writing Successful Scientific Papers (Sept. 23, 2014) - Lunch Session
Novel scientific research only means something when it is finally published. An individual can have solid results and yet fail to be successful in publishing because of a lack of well thought out plan when writing the actual manuscript. A good plan must include deciding precisely what to write about, selecting the appropriate journal, agreeing on authorship, and choosing the best way to start the actual writing of the manuscript. In this session, Dr. Tom Annesley will cover these important aspects of writing, with the goal of helping attendees avoid some of the mistakes authors make early on in the writing process. When: 12pm-2pm (Lunch Included) Where: BSRB Seminar Rooms
